Elsberry Launch for December has been canceled!

Thanks, Dan

Brian Nessing has another great article in Sport Rocketry

St. Louis Rocketry Association member Brian Nessing has been published in Sport Rocketry Magazine again! Congratulations, Brian!

Brian has created a how-to article on making centering rings the easy way. Read the article here.

Marty Beck is now Level 3!!

Marty Beck, a valuable member of SLRA who now lives in OK, has attained his Level 3 Certification. Last Saturday at 'Sweaty Balls' a launch in Argonia, KS held by the K.L.O.U.D. Busters, Marty flew his rocket, Kraken Up, a scratch built, upscaled version of the classic Kraken model, on an AMW M3000ST to about 2600 ft. This is a heavy, beautiful rocket. As all of Marty's projects have been, this was made with sound functional design and meticulous care taken to fit, finish and style. The craftsmanship of this rocket was top notch. I suspect few have had a more well organized and detailed Level 3 pre-flight report either. President Bruce Weidner personally led a spirited round of applause for Marty at last night's meeting.

For those of you who have not yet seen this rocket here are some links.

ELSBERRY Launch Report for Spring 2009

It's been several years since anyone has written a launch report for our high power launches at Elberry. Dan Welling stepped up to the plate and provided a fine offering for your enjoyment. Not every launch goes perfectly and this one especially was no exception. Dan chronicled the comedy of errors perfectly. Read it here.
